Roulette is one of the most popular and entertaining gambling games. It has been around since the 17th century. Not only that, Roulette is a very easy game to pick up and learn. It originated in France, and it didn’t take long to make it worldwide for everyone to enjoy, especially when it is available online to play. However, the basic fundamental of the game is still the same.
One of the greatest things about Roulette is that many betting options are available for every round, including Outside Bets. In this article, you will learn about the most effective outside betting at Roulette. First, you need to know what an outside bet in Roulette is.
The 36 numbers on the Roulette table layout are divided into three separate columns. Thus, this bet allows you to cover an entire vertical line of 12 numbers with a single chip. However, you can place column bets in the three boxes. They are located at the farthest end of the layout, right on the opposite side of the fields reserved for the 0. So, if the white ball lands on any of these numbers, column bets will resolve as losing ones.
Roulette outside Bets is unlike the wager you will find in horse racing. In addition, you will place a long or short bet on a horse with odds of 100:1. When it comes to the Roulette table, this term has an entirely different meaning. In Roulette, it refers to the bets that sit outside the central number of bets.
In Roulette, the outside bet is the second major category of wagers. These types of bets are considered the most basic type of wager you can place on Roulette and are more suitable for new players. However, you can’t place an outside bet on a concrete number as they base on other properties. The players will get better odds at winning with outside bets, but the payout is smaller.
The black and red numbers on the Roulette table can be divided into two categories. Numbers 1 through 18 refer to as Low numbers. On the other hand, high numbers are from19 through 36. However, the number zero does not fall into any of the two categories. With Low and High bets, you are betting the ball will land on the number within your chosen range. It is one of the most famous types of Outside Bets. In addition, the boxes where you place high and low bets have a label of 1 to 18 and 19 to 36, respectively.
You can place this bet on the outcome that the ball will end up either in a red or black pocket. In this case, the individual number in the pocket is irrelevant. However, Red and Black bets place in the box that is located directly under the 2nd 12 box. Often this bet represents by the black and red diamond on the layout, but on the same table, the words “red” and “black” are written on the top.
You can place the chips either on all black numbers or on all red numbers. Keep in mind that zero is not included in Red and Black Bets. So, you will lose all the Red and black bets if the zero comes up. When you win this type of Outside Bets, you will pay out even money or 1 to 1.
You can place this type of Outside Bets to the left of the numbers field on the layout, in three boxes that mark with 1st Dozen, 2nd Dozen, and 3rd Dozen. However, the 1st Dozen contains numbers 1 through 12, the 2nd dozen covers numbers 13 through 24, and the last 3rd Dozen contains numbers 25 through 36. When you place your chip in one of three boxes, you cover all numbers in the Dozen.
Don’t forget that winning a Dozen bets will pay 2 to 1. Be aware that if you prefer, you can wager on two of the three Dozen. Though if the 0 or 00 is the winning number, a Dozen bets settle as losing bones.
The columns bets and dozen bets are the two most popular types of Outside Bets in Roulette. These two bets cover the same percentage of a table across various numbers. However, this makes them very useful for mixing things up if you want to cover a third or two-thirds of the table. It would help if you switched between columns and dozens to break up your playing pattern.
